One of the most common reconstructive procedures in dentistry is the replacement of damaged teeth with a crown. In the past and in some practices, crowns are made of porcelain by a specialist, which can take several weeks.
The crowns then need to be installed and adjusted by a dentist. The International Center for Advanced Dentistry has taken the initiative to invest in the next step in Crown production and adjustment by using the CEREC digital restoration system.
Our CEREC machine is able to use 3D scans of your mouth to sculpt a crown that is custom-fitted for each patient’s unique needs. This new system is also capable of sculpting new crowns from a biocompatible ceramic material in only a few hours, meaning our patients can get their crowns in one visit without a temporary piece.
Why we use the CEREC system:
Same day installation
No temporary crown
No more molds
We pride ourselves in being able to provide our patients with the latest in crown production technology, and with our new CEREC system we can provide stunning new crowns in only one visit. Call or email us if you think you might be a candidate for a new CEREC crown.
